Working together to create value
For our company, social responsibility has never been about meeting external expectations, but rather stems from our internal convictions – as evidenced by our charitable activities in recent years. Hankook regularly supports institutions and programs that have been established to improve the conditions and quality of life in local communities. This year is no different, and once again we have much to be proud of.
Hankook pays special attention to supporting children living in difficult conditions. As we reported earlier, our company has helped the work of the Family Support Service in Dunaújváros in many ways in recent years: in addition to financial donations and material resources, last year our employees also built a playground in the organization’s courtyard as part of the KÖSZ, Hankook! employee volunteer program.
This year marks the tenth time we have stood by the little ones, and with a donation of 2.3 million forints from our company, we have ensured that 72 young students can start school. At the Toy Festival held on August 26, the children received their back-to-school packages in a special setting: the organization’s courtyard was transformed into a pirate island for a whole day, ensuring a cheerful, playful atmosphere for the presentation of the donations.
“Hankook’s support is a huge help to us again this year, enabling children to start school in the right conditions. We are delighted that we have been able to count on the committed support of this local company for a decade now, which provides significant help to families in need,” said Ágnes Mészárosné Libor, director of the Family Support Service.

In 2024, we launched the “Hankook for Sports Program” with the aim of providing assistance to amateur sports organizations that promote health and contribute to building community. Following last year’s donation of 3 million forints, our company provided financial support to nine sports organizations in 2025, totaling nearly 5 million forints. This year’s program again included associations representing sports such as table tennis, wrestling, badminton, and student sports. Once again, the aim was to enable local hobby, leisure, and recreational sports clubs to modernize their equipment.
“This year, we have increased the support budget with which we help amateur organizations purchase sports equipment. We would like to reach as many youth and student sports organizations as possible with our program,” said Katalin Roy, our company’s Head of Communications.
Hankook’s management believes that social responsibility, supporting local communities, sports, and health is an investment that not only pays off many times over, but also gives us a reason to be proud. So there is no question that our charitable initiatives will continue in the future.
Hankook’s tire donation program is now in its fourteenth year. We launched this initiative with the aim of contributing to road safety and supporting the essential work of public benefit organizations. The 2025 program was open to foundations and associations that have been operating for at least five years and are active in the fields of social welfare, healthcare, disaster relief, environmental or animal protection.
Selected applicants will receive premium quality tires so that they can use their vehicles for helping others more safely and efficiently. This year, 115 non-profit organizations will receive new tires, and by the time you read this, the winners will have already started receiving their tire sets. We are delighted to be able to help those who, like our company, are committed to improving the lives of their communities.
