Hankook Test Laboratory received accreditation
Hankook Tire Hungary’s Rolling Resistance Test Laboratory has obtained laboratory accreditation in accordance with the MSZ EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 standard, thereby officially joining the ranks of internationally recognized, independent, reliable, and professionally credible testing laboratories.
Amint azt már ti is olvashattátok magazinunkban, rácalmási gyárunk 2023 augusztusában nyerte el a rangos ISCC PLUS-minősítést (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification). A nemzetközi fenntarthatósági tanúsítvány célja, hogy ennek segítségével az autóipar beszállítói láncában számontartsák, hogy egy adott termékben mennyi a megújuló és az újrahasznosított alapanyag. Mivel a tanúsítás mindössze egy évre szól, ezt minden esztendőben szükséges felülvizsgálni, majd 3 évente egy részletesebb auditot is elvégeznek.
The certificate was issued by the National Accreditation Authority (NAH), and the document certifies that the Rolling Resistance Test Laboratory in Rácalmás complies in all respects with the requirements of the MSZ EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 standard – it meets the international requirements for professional competence, quality management, and technical preparedness.
The laboratory’s main activity is measuring the rolling resistance of passenger and light truck tires in accordance with the ISO 28580, ECE R117, and GSO ECE R117 standards. These tests are crucial for energy efficiency, safety, and environmental performance of tires, as rolling resistance directly affects fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions. This is one of the most important areas of measurement for Hankook, as the company is committed to sustainable mobility and innovative solutions for the future.
The accreditation is the result of months of precise and coordinated teamwork. The 22-member professional team working in the laboratory worked diligently to ensure that all testing processes, documentation, and measuring instruments met the strict requirements. Representatives from various departments, from quality management to technical support, worked together on the project. The successful on-site inspection not only confirmed the professional competence of the laboratory, but also the perseverance, knowledge, and team spirit of our company’s employees.
