New location, old tradition: together again at this year’s Family and Sports Day
At Hankook, it has become a tradition to dedicate an entire day in early September to shared experiences, sports, and recreation. This year was no different – although instead of the usual venue, we gathered at Ambrózia Park, where hundreds of colleagues and their family members enjoyed a day full of activities.
This year’s Hankook Family and Sports Day was held on September 6, this time on the lower banks of the Danube in Dunaújváros, at Ambrózia Festival Park, which provided the perfect setting for our event with its great atmosphere and spacious grounds.
To ensure smooth transportation, buses ran on two routes throughout the day, so everyone could comfortably participate in the programs. The buses ran from morning until evening, with the last bus taking the carefree guests home at 9:30 p.m.
During the day, sports and games took the spotlight. We saw exciting matches in the soccer and basketball tournaments, while beer pong and tug-of-war made the day even more memorable with lots of fun and cheerful competition. The children enjoyed a jumping castle, face painting, hair braiding, a dog show, and a horse show, but the biggest crowd favorite this year was once again the foam party, which filled the park with the joyful laughter of children twice over.
Gastronomy was also well represented: in the cooking competition, a variety of delicacies simmered in the pots of amateur chefs, and the teams conjured up real culinary creations for the judges. Of course, our company not only provided the ingredients for cooking, but also treated the participants of the family event to freshly baked pizza, coffee, and soft drinks.
The Hankook Family and Sports Day proved once again that shared experiences, sports, and recreation bring us together. We would like to thank everyone who participated, helped, and contributed to another unforgettable day together. We are already looking forward to seeing you again next year!
