This summer, significant changes have taken place at our company in the area of catering services. Starting in August, a new partner is ensuring that everyday meals are even more enjoyable and varied. At the same time, we have also begun a major renovation to make the restaurants more spacious, comfortable, and modern.

After nearly 14 years, we said goodbye to Delirest Kft., whom we would like to thank for their work so far. From August 18, the team of the new service provider, Welstory Hungary Kft., is waiting for employees in the restaurants and canteens. Welstory is a subsidiary of Samsung with decades of experience in industrial catering, serving more than one million meals a day worldwide.
With this change, we aim to provide higher quality and a more versatile selection for everyday meals. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night meals will continue to be served at the usual times; the menu will feature Hungarian and international dishes that rotate every five weeks, as well as Korean dishes rotate change every four weeks.
An important new feature is that the new service provider will also operate the buffets and the MOHU bottle return machine.
As everyone noticed, on August 14, after breakfast, the restaurants and canteens closed for a short time for the handover, and from 7 a.m. on the 18th, the Welstory team was waiting for everyone in Restaurant 1 and the canteen. Restaurant 2, however, is expected to remain closed until the end of the year due to a complete renovation, which will affect the kitchen and snack bar 2.
The 11-meter extension of Restaurant 1 will be completed by the end of the year. This will initially involve exterior work, so dining there will continue uninterrupted. The second phase of the renovation will begin in early 2026 with the renovation of the interior, which will result in the renewal of the main kitchen and the canteen. At that time, Restaurant 1 will be closed for a while, but Kitchen 2 will be completely renovated by then and will ensure uninterrupted dining.
If everything goes according to plan, both restaurants will be renovated and ready to welcome employees by the summer of 2026. This will allow us to enjoy meals in a more spacious and comfortable environment in the long term, with a more modern kitchen and even faster service.
Meet Welstory
Greetings!
Allow me to introduce myself: my name is Peter Ryu, and I am the Managing Director of Welstory Hungary Kft.
Welstory Hungary is the Hungarian subsidiary of Samsung Welstory, South Korea’s leading corporate catering service provider. For decades, Samsung Welstory has been at the forefront of the hospitality industry, offering safe, nutritious, and enjoyable meals to millions of people every day. Our philosophy is built on three core pillars: quality, safety, and care. We firmly believe that every meal we serve is more than just food – it’s also an experience of well-being and trust.
In Korea, Samsung Welstory operates over 600 workplace cafeterias and restaurants, serving employees of major corporations, educational institutions, and healthcare organizations. A key part of our portfolio includes partnerships with the headquarters of Hankook Tire and several subsidiaries within the Samsung Group, where we play a crucial role in supporting employee satisfaction and organizational performance.
We began our international expansion in 2012 with China, followed by Vietnam in 2015, and since then we have been steadily growing our global presence. Today, we operate at approximately 130 international locations across Asia, North America, and now Europe. Through our global network, we serve over one million meals daily, reinforcing our leadership position in the corporate catering market. We combine our international experience with local needs, tailoring our services in each market to cultural preferences, tastes, and expectations.
The launch of Welstory Hungary marks a milestone in our company’s history, as it represents the beginning of our expansion into Europe. We are especially honored that, starting in August 2025, we will be responsible for catering services for the employees of Hankook Tire Hungary. This collaboration not only strengthens our global relationship with Hankook Tire, but also symbolizes our commitment to bringing the same level of excellence and professionalism to Europe that we have already demonstrated in Asia.
Looking ahead, our mission is twofold: on one hand, we aim to offer high-quality European and Hungarian menus that reflect local culinary traditions and flavors. On the other hand, we also strive to make a wide selection of authentic Korean dishes available on our menu. Whether it’s a classic Hungarian favorite or a carefully prepared Korean specialty, our mission remains unchanged: to provide safe, hygienic, and balanced meals that support the health, well-being, and energy levels of every guest we serve.
