Hankook tires shine in Auto Bild tests

Once again, we have reason to be proud, as our tires have once again performed outstandingly in the independent tire tests conducted by the prestigious German trade magazine Auto Bild. Two of our products, Hankook iON evo and Hankook Ventus evo, received excellent ratings in the competition, demonstrating not only our technological superiority but also the commitment of our development team.

The iON evo, developed for electric vehicles, proved to be the best in its category, ahead of seven other competitors in the 215/55 R18 summer tires competition. It achieved first place in terms of braking and handling on both wet and dry road surfaces, and testers particularly praised its short braking distance, excellent driving dynamics and quiet ride thanks to i Sound Absorber technology. Thanks to its low rolling resistance and the resulting long service life, it also ranked among the best in terms of cost-effectiveness.

Ventus evo also delivered an impressive performance, receiving an ‘excellent’ rating in the 225/40 R18 summer tire category, which featured 52 competitors. It came first in the wet braking test and also provided the best handling on dry roads. Experts highlighted its reliability, impressive driving dynamics and excellent value for money. More and more car manufacturers are choosing Ventus evo as their first choice for original equipment – and not without reason.

10 years of Laufenn in Europe – stable growth, expanding range

Hankook’s brand, Laufenn, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in Europe this year, having achieved spectacular growth since 2015. It is now present in more than 100 countries and is continuously expanding its product range for passenger cars, SUVs and light trucks.

Laufenn entered the market with summer tires, first in the performance and touring car segment, then gradually introduced winter and all-season products for SUVs and passenger cars (X Fit Van, i Fit, i Fit ICE). Their latest developments, such as the S Fit EQ+, have already achieved a finalist position in the renowned Auto Bild test – experts praised its braking properties, comfort and low rolling noise. With this, Laufenn has once again proven that it is possible to offer quality at an excellent price-performance ratio.

The brand offers reliable solutions not only for the retail but also for the fleet market. Its commercial vehicle tire portfolio currently includes 18 sizes and will be expanded this year with new models such as the LF95 and LR02 trailer tires. But the innovations don’t stop there: Laufenn is launching its new digital platform, Laufenn365, this year, which simplifies accident claims and provides extra protection for customers.

The brand’s visibility is also boosted by its partnership with the UEFA Europa Conference League – Laufenn has been an official sponsor of the series since 2021.

Hankook attaches great importance to its multi-brand strategy, so in addition to Laufenn, a new brand, Optimo, will also be launched in the near future. This step will enable us to better adapt to customer needs and offer a wider range of reliable, high-performance tires.
