We are proud that, thanks to your tireless efforts, the KÖSZ, Hankook! volunteer programme celebrated its tenth year in 2022. Let’s see what has been renewed with the help of our dedicated community!
Drum roll and a hearty cheer of appreciation! At the end of last year, the Thanks, Hankook! Value Creation Employee Volunteer Program celebrated its tenth anniversary. With your great teamwork, you have helped renew nurseries, kindergartens, schools and community spaces a total of 34 times in the past year alone. And the company donated almost HUF 20 million to the success of your projects aimed at bettering your environment.
As a result of your work, the success of KÖSZ, Hankook! is unquestionable, with 993 Hankook employees volunteering more than 25,000 hours on 300 projects since the program’s launch. According to the balance of last year, 78 employees and 197 external helpers carried out community service in 11 towns of Fejér, Bács-Kiskun and Tolna counties in 2022. Now let’s see the concrete results!
In the jubilee year, we helped in Dunaújváros, in cooperation with a large number of volunteers and Csaba Orosz, a member of the Dunaújváros City Council, to renovate the Arboretum and Nature Park on Baracsi Road. Here, we used acacia trees and metal poles, wire mesh and pre-fabricated metal fencing elements to demarcate the open area behind the riding school building. A small gate has been constructed on the south side for easier access, and a partial fence has been completed at the guest house at the northern end of the area. In addition, a new paddock for the soon-to-arrive rack of sheep has also been added. We have also made five garden picnic tables, which have been painted and covered with care material, and handed over five more forest benches made from logs, which will be put in place when the weather is good.
We are also involved in the construction of a barefoot park, most of the material for which is already on site, and we plan to complete it this spring. Finally, we have not forgotten the bunny run, which we will be able to enjoy together at Easter.
