As we left 2025 behind us, we can say that this year will be truly significant, even historic from the factory’s point of view: the Fourth Phase and the expansion of the Hankook House are nearing completion.
The test production in the TBR plant will begin in June, and with the start of operation of the new production line, mass production of truck and bus tires will start in the second half of the year. In addition, Hankook is celebrating its 85th anniversary in 2026, while the Rácalmás plant will complete 20 years since foundation. These milestones also present new challenges, for which we must find solutions together. Increased production capacity means both opportunity and responsibility. We must move beyond simple volume expansion and focus on “quality growth” that emphasizes profitability.
The success of our iON brand has confirmed our technical leadership, which is based on solid foundations and our IT expertise that is consciously developed over the past decades. At the same time, the rapidly developing electric vehicle market and the AI revolution are bringing new challenges that require us to be constantly innovative and flexible. That is why we must ensure that our accumulated experience and technological knowledge do not become relics of the past, but serve as a bridge to the future, further strengthening our position as an innovation and market leader.
Our core values – future, innovation, and technology – continue to guide us. We are not just tire manufacturers, but leaders in the future of mobility, committed to the safety and satisfaction of our customers.
As you see, 2026 will be a very important year for Hankook as a whole. I would like to thank you in advance for your commitment and perseverance, and for keeping this in mind as you carry out your work.
Best regards
Lim Ho Taek
