A decade and a fantastic community, or KÖSZ, HANKOOK still in work!
What better way to demonstrate the success of an initiative than to see that the number of colleagues who want to participate grows year on year. This is exactly the case with the now 12 years old Community Together for Better (“KÖSZ”) Employee Value Creation Volunteer Program, which has received more applications than ever before.
As in previous years, this spring we launched a call for applications, inviting our colleagues to apply for funding and offer their help to help renew institutions and community spaces close to their hearts. Between 2 April and 3 May, the period covered by the call for applications saw an unprecedented 55 applications with a total request for almost HUF 50 million. After a detailed evaluation of the applications received, 41 projects were selected in a total value of HUF 20 million.
Extra money for extra synergy
After seeing the enthusiasm this year, we thought of giving extra support to the project that most of our Hankook colleagues will be volunteering for. This will be rewarded with an additional 300,000 HUF by Hankook. The donated amount can be used by the institution for any purpose that serves its community.
Fortunately, there is no shortage of action
The 41 lucky applicants and orgaizations patronized by them have already been notified, and by the time we close, our volunteers are already busy organizing where they will be working in the coming period. By the time you read this, some of the work will probably be well underway, and our environment will be built and improved by the hands of our colleagues.
We look back with awe at the history of KÖSZ, Hankook! and are touched to see that more than 1,000 of our employees have given their free time to create value for the public good. We are proud to have such great people in the Hankook community! And this pride gives us even more momentum to continue our popular program.
