Charitable money that would not have reached their destination without you
There’s one thing our company never forgets: charity, and we find the right opportunity for it every season. We are proud to be able to support communities in and around Rácalmás, and all this thanks to the success we have achieved together in our world-renowned factory. Lt’s have a look whom we have made happy recently!
For the ninth year in a row, Hankook has been a partner of the Dunaújváros Toy Festival organized by the “Útkeresés” Support Service. At the event, the organizers offered exciting activities and also provided support to children from disadvantaged families in starting school. This year, our company contributed with a donation of 300 thousand HUF.
“It is a great pleasure for us that Hankook has been supporting our work and the needy families in the region for the ninth year in a row. Thanks to their donation, many children will be able to start school this year with full equipment, which is a great relief for families who do not have the necessary financial means to cover the expenses of starting school,” said Ágnes Libor Mészárosné, head of the Útkeresés Support Service.
As in previous years, our company will contribute an additional 300,000 HUF to the Útkeresés Segítő Szolgálat in December to make Christmas brighter for families in need.
Besides supporting disadvantaged children, education is also a priority for us. Within the project of the Hankook Education Support Program (HOPP), our company supported the Bánki Donát Technical School of the University of Dunaújváros and the DSZC Dunaferr Technical and Vocational School in May 2024 with a total of HUF 5.5 million to improve their equipment.
Tire Donation Program reloaded
In September, we started our thirteenth Tire Donation Program, which allows non-profit organizations to apply for tires to help keep them safe on the road.
Hankook is committed to supporting organizations that make a significant contribution to preserving social values and facilitating community life. Their commitment and activities are indispensable, and our company supports them through the Tire Donation Program.
“Our program has been very successful and popular since its inception. We are delighted to have been able to create the conditions for safe transportation for so many non-profit organizations. I am proud that we are continuing this journey this year,” said Kim Hyung Yun, Managing Director of our factory, and continued. “From patient transport, through civil guards to animal rescues, we have been able to help a wide range of associations.”
Last year’s results: in 2023, 143 organizations received a total of 1,474 tires, which were handed over to the winners at Hankook’s plant in Rácalmás. The program is primarily aimed at smaller, non-profit foundations and associations, but on a national level, major institutions such as the National Ambulance Service and the BM National Directorate General for Disaster Management have also received support.
