Together for Causes That Matter
Supporting education, promoting health, encouraging sport and creating meaningful experiences – over the past few months, we have been involved in a wide range of initiatives that have touched the everyday lives of people living in our local communities. Once again, our support has gone to local initiatives that provide tangible help, create valuable opportunities or simply bring people closer together.
Making the Start of the School Year Easier Together
This year, Hankook continued its over a decade-long partnership with the Útkeresés Segítő Szolgálat (Support Service for People in Need) in Dunaújváros. This time, our company contributed HUF 2.5 million to help children from disadvantaged families start the new school year with the supplies and equipment they need.
The support provided the children with school bags, school supplies and other essential items. But there was also an opportunity for some fun: the closing event of the campaign featured a special program inspired by space travel. This year’s initiative therefore not only helped make the start of the school year easier, but also gave the participants a shared and memorable experience.
Working Together for a Healthier Future
Our long-standing partnership with Szent Pantaleon Hospital in Dunaújváros has continued to grow stronger. At a ceremony held during the summer, the partners looked back on the more than HUF 9 million support that Hankook Tire has provided to the local healthcare institution in recent years.
HUF 4.8 million was provided in 2025 to purchase equipment supporting safer care for newborns and premature babies, including a modern phototherapy device and a jaundice meter.
In addition, more than HUF 4.2 million was contributed for organizing he Pantaleon–Hankook Health Screening Day on May 30. Participants were offered free health screenings, as well as health and sports activities, including workplace exercise sessions.
The event was held together with the “Jót, fut a város! – Dunaújváros” charity run, with a particular focus on prevention and community cooperation.
It is especially rewarding for us as a company to contribute each year to modern healthcare in the region and to promoting greater health awareness among local communities.
A Great Pumpkin Weekend in Rácalmás
One of the most cheerful events of the autumn in Rácalmás was back again this year. From September 18 to 20, the Rácalmás Pumpkin Festival brought the town to life for the 22nd time, with Hankook once again proud to support the event.
For three days, the Jankovich Mansion and its surroundings were transformed into a lively festival venue. During the day, visitors could enjoy family and children’s programs, craft activities, exhibitions and, of course, plenty of creative pumpkin decorations. Once again this year, anyone could also put their skills to the test in the pumpkin dessert competition.
In the evenings, the main stage took center stage, with Halott Pénz, 4S Street, VALMAR, Horváth Tamás, Kollányi Zsuzsi, Parno Graszt and Bagossy Brothers Company, among others, providing the music and creating a fantastic festival atmosphere.
For Hankook, supporting the Pumpkin Festival is a great opportunity to meet people beyond the factory gates, relax and spend time together while taking part in one of the local community’s biggest events.
Millions in Motion
The Hankook Sport Program once again gave a boost to a wide range of local sports communities. This year, our company provided a total of HUF 6 million in support to organizations promoting amateur and community sports in Rácalmás, Dunaújváros, Mezőfalva, Százhalombatta and Adony.
The supported organizations represent a wide variety of sports. In addition to mass participation sports, table tennis and badminton, successful applicants included dance and martial arts clubs, as well as organizations involved in triathlon, gymnastics, kayaking and canoeing, and archery.
The support enabled these organizations to purchase sports equipment and other resources that contribute to higher-quality training and expand local opportunities for people to take part in sport.
Our goal remains to use our support to help more and more people find a form of physical activity that brings them joy, so that sport can become a part of their everyday lives.
