Culture connects: the Hankook stand at Korea Day

We are very proud to have been a partner of the event, which took place on 21 May in Millennial Park, organized by the Korean Cultural Centre as a full-day event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Korean Cultural Centre. As a multinational company, we consider it essential to support such initiatives, as the 32-year history of Hungarian-South Korean cooperation is a key issue for us as well.

It was a pleasure to see the large number of guests who visited the Hankook stand, where you could get to know us through our strategic tires on display, our communication materials and company videos, as well as through our colleagues who were available at the stand throughout the day.

In the spirit of environmental awareness, we set up an online test, the answers to which were available in our tent, this way almost all of the more than 110 respondents solved the test without any mistakes. The three winners of the game were selected by a draw and presented with gift vouchers worth 100,000 HUF each, redeemable for a set of tires, by Kim Hyung Yun, Managing Director. However, there were also some who preferred to rely on good luck instead of the intellectual challenge, and by spinning our wheel of fortune, they took home guaranteed Hankook gifts, a yo-yo, fidget spinner, sunglasses, key chain and shopping bag.

Of course, our stand was not lacking in speed and the adrenaline rush that comes with it: participants could experience the thrill of motor racing with the help of VR glasses and a simulator.

Of course, we did not want you, our colleagues, to miss out on the experience either, so free bus service was provided between Dunaújváros and Budapest, which to our great delight was used by more than 120 of employees, thus filling two large and one small bus.

Many thanks to everyone who visited our stand; this event showed that the unity and respect for culture among our staff is unprecedented. We are truly grateful to work with such people.
