Spring is one of the busiest times of the year. It was no different here at Hankook. Just think of the recent UEFA Europa League Final in Budapest, which our company accompanied with various events and in which hundreds of Hankook colleagues and young football players participated.
The lucky draw for the final lasted for weeks, and in the end we even had the winner’s trophy, as well as one of the most iconic figures of post-millennium Hungarian football, Zoltán Gera, visiting the factory. I trust that we have managed to please many of our employees with these events.
Following the tradition, this year we have launched our popular programme of the KÖSZ, HANKOOK! project again. As in previous years, the project has proved popular with employees. We received many excellent tenders, and this year again we will be able to beautify a number of places.
In May, we celebrated the 82nd birthday of our company and of course our dedicated employees with a series of big events. I am happy to tell you that 30 percent of our employees have been working here at Hankook Tire Hungary for more than 10 years, and more than 300 of them are celebrating 10 or 15 years of service with the company this year.
My special thanks to all of you! I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate our colleagues whose outstanding performance has been recognised with Excellence Awards.
And finally, let me wish you all a long and productive summer break. I trust that this period will give you the opportunity to relax and spend quality time with your families and loved ones. And to the maintenance staff who are working during this time, thank you for your work!
