
Life has been busy at Hankook in the last few weeks, with a number of interesting and exciting events.
One of them is HCIWAY (Hankook Continuous Innovation Way), a comprehensive innovation initiative aimed at making the workplace feel like our own, worth protecting, developing and loving. You can read about it in this issue.
We have continued our CSR programs that started earlier. In the frame of the Education Support Program, we supported the development of equipment in two technical secondary schools in Dunaújváros with several million forints, and we also undertook the installment of a nurse call system in the local hospital. This year again we have launched our popular Employee Volunteer Program. As in previous years, the initiative has proved popular with employees, and the number and value of applications received has exceeded all expectations.
Building on the success of last year’s events, we organized another Factory Open Day in May, which gave employees’ relatives the opportunity to get an insight into the daily life of our factory.
We cannot forget our company’s birthday. The 83rd anniversary of our parent company and the 18th anniversary of our factory in Rácalmás were celebrated with awards for our colleagues with long service and outstanding performance. This year, we greeted a record number of employees – nearly 500 – to mark the occasion. Congratulations to all those awarded!
After all the work, it’s time to take a well-deserved rest, so let me wish you all a well-earned break during the upcoming summer factory break. I trust that this period will give you the opportunity to relax and spend quality time with your loved ones. And to the maintenance staff who are working during this period, thank you all for your work!
