I trust that everyone is well rested after the summer factory stop, sufficiently recharged and re-energized to face the challenges of work.
There have been a number of significant events in the life of the factory over the past period. Our achievements in renewable energy and sustainability have won us several prestigious awards. This includes the ISCC certification of our factory in Rácalmás for another year at the recertification audit in July.
The 5S project for raising awareness continues – you can read more about it in this issue. This is particularly timely now with the warehousing problems in view.
A TFT has been set up in order to normalize the situation as soon as possible, the aim is to complete this work by the end of October. We need to increase the quantity of tires shipped out and start warehousing tires stored off-site by creating real-time maintenance and an improved working environment.
I urge you all to pay even more attention to your work and your environment. Let us all work with all our might to overcome the difficulties, help and support our colleagues in other processes and shifts and, as in the past, we will overcome the challenges.
Despite the difficulties, we have had a series of out-of-work activities as well. The summer camp for employees’ children proved popular again this year, and I am confident that all the children had many good experiences. We closed the summer with the traditional Hankook Family and Sports Day, and I was pleased to see that many people came again this year.
The last quarter also has not passed without charity. Through a local organization, we helped children from disadvantaged families to start school again this year, and we also launched our tire donation program, which is always very popular with nonprofit organizations.
We also supported the 20th Pumpkin Festival. I trust that many of you participated and enjoyed the event.
Dear Colleagues! We have come through not only a very hot and busy summer, but also a significant part of the year. The end of the year will soon be here. I wish us all to have the strength and perseverance we need to overcome the challenges that lie ahead in 2024.
