As you may already know from the short film running on the TV screen, in the canteens, our holding company is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year. But for us, the employees of the Rácalmás factory, this is a doubly important time: the foundation stones of our workplace were laid exactly 15 years ago.
It is true that we had to cope with a lot of difficulties at the beginning, but there is no doubt that Rácalmás, as the only Hankook factory in Europe, has achieved unparalleled success over the years. We have a significant market presence not only in the region, but also in Hungary, and we can claim to be the most successful unit of the company’s 8 factories. But the secret of our unbroken growth lies undoubtedly in your work. Nothing proves this better than the fact that, even in the pandemic period of more than a year, we have made significant progress in production. While many of our competitors are wavering, Hankook is on a firm footing.
It is great pride for the management team to have a colleague who have been part of this 15-year success story from the very beginning! Many thanks to him and to the 400 or so members of the core team who have been honored this year in recognition of their long service.
Despite all this, we must not forget the fight we have been encountering every day since the COVID-19 appeared in Hungary. By your disciplined adherence to the epidemiological rules, we have managed to keep the number of cases of illness in our factories at an exemplary low level. However, for greater safety, we ask you to avail the opportunity to get vaccinated, even here at the factory clinic!
