We’re well past the halfway point of the year, and summer is already behind us. It was a scorching period! First and foremost, I’d like to thank everyone for stepping up even during the hottest weather and contributing to the company’s smooth operation with their extraordinary efforts. In doing so, you also helped ensure that Hankook met the government’s request to reduce energy consumption during this critical period. Together, we made it happen!
In recent months, several large-scale recreational events have added color to company life – just think of the Pumpkin Festival or the fifth annual Family Day. I hope everyone who participated had a good time, and I encourage all others as well to take part in these and similar events whenever their schedules allow!
In September, at the IAA Transportation 2026 exhibition held in Hanover, Germany, Hankook unveiled several new commercial vehicle tires. The company also officially announced the expansion of its European manufacturing capacity at the event. Here in Rácalmás, the new production line for truck and bus tires will have a capacity of up to 800,000 tires per year. Manufacturing in Hungary will help shorten shipping routes and increase supply security for European customers.
This is a great opportunity, but it also comes with great responsibility. Let’s all work with all our might to overcome the challenges and help and support one another in achieving our common goals!
I believe it is important that we continue to work as a cohesive team, remain open to new ideas, and constantly improve ourselves. Together, we can make our plans a reality and achieve our goals.
Finally, I hope that all of you had a summer rich in events and experiences, and that you also had time to rest, recharge, and spend quality time with your loved ones.
