I would like to take this opportunity to greet you for the first time, as the new Managing Director of the factory, in the columns of the renewed corporate magazine. Although I had not yet been here, I know exactly how difficult the year 2020 was; nonetheless, despite all the ordeals, the Hankook factory, in Rácalmás, closed with outstanding results. This is particularly commendable, because, while the unfavorable economic upheaval caused by the pandemic has forced all players in the automotive industry to their knees, our company has been capable to keep up with development, despite all the obstacles. That is why I would like to express my appreciation to all our colleagues, since this is no small achievement under the given circumstances.
However, the pandemic still doesn’t spare us and we don’t see when we can breathe with relief. Restrictions are a growing burden for all of us, unfortunately we cannot relax as yet. So far, Hankook has provided a lot of attention, money and energy towards prevention and ongoing tests. This will not change in the future. Meanwhile, however, it is already possible to confront the virus with other means, namely by seeking vaccination. Even though the vaccination is not mandatory, nonetheless, you may want to consider applying for the free vaccination to protect yourself and your fellow human beings. At the moment, it seems to be the most effective weapon against the new type of coronavirus and its mutations.
Whether you choose to be vaccinated or not, please follow medical regulations –wear a mask, pay attention to regular disinfection and if you feel ill, report it to your manager, General Physician and stay home!
Take care of yourself, take care of each other! I wish you and your loved ones a Happy Easter!
