HOPP was concluded with a resounding success

Last year’s Hankook Education Support Program (HOPP) was a truly unusual one, as the largest scale activity in its five-year history took place in 2021, with a brand new theme.

The program, which was announced for the most creative teachers and their schools during the pandemic and awarded a total prize of HUF 4 million, attracted record interest, as shown by the 110 entries received. The judges –history teacher József Balatoni, alias “Uncle Jocó”, communications expert Attila Dóczi, alias “Attis” and media researcher Dr. Zoltán Szűts –awarded prizes to primary, secondary and higher secondary school teachers who have done their best to make distance learning run as smoothly as possible through their high level of professionalism and flexibility.  The jury was in a difficult position, but was pleased to see the excellent ideas and ingenious solutions that teachers had come up with to help children learn. The public had no easy task either, as dozens of excellent entries passed the pre-screening to be shortlisted for the public prize.
