This is not the first time for Mr. LIM HO TAEK in our factory, he has been here in the very beginning, in 2008 as Quality System Builder. We asked him about his long carrier at Hankook and his goals and visions in our factory.
How do you like the country and Rácalmás, the surroundings of the factory?
The country, the capital and the countryside are all beautiful, as far as my time allows, I try to visit and experience as much as possible. I am not entirely new to Hungary, I have spent here more than one year around 2008 and visited several times since then.
What is your main objective for the period ahead?
Our most urgent task now is with our joint efforts to recreate order and tidiness in the factory, first of all by solving our warehousing issues. I strongly believe that a well-organized environment is the basis for manufacturing good quality products which always should be out ultimate goal.
The next big issue is the completion of our TBR investment, and I believe that starting and stabilizing the production there will be also an exciting challenge on our road towards excellence.
Quality mind is the key to this, for all of us and in all areas of work. I intend to concentrate on this and I hope to find partners in all our employees. I am confident that together we will be able to reach all our targets.
What experience do you have in the industry and how do you plan to use it for the benefit of the factory?
In almost three decades with the company, I’ve had the opportunity to work and gain experience in many areas, but most of the time I have worked in the area of quality and technology. I would like to integrate this experience into the factory’s operations as part of a comprehensive strategic plan to continuously improve and remain competitive in the market.
I would like to work effectively with my colleagues to improve productivity and employee satisfaction and thus continue on the way of development of our factory.
Lim Ho Taek, our new Managing Director has joined Hankook in 1995. He started his carrier in R&D Center as Compound Developer for Truck and Bus tires. From 2005, his international carrier took off with a year in Istanbul Office as Marketing Engineer, educating and assisting Hankook staff and customers in technical and quality issues. During his Technical Service duty at Europe Headquarters he participated in the establishment of Factory Quality System in 2008. In 2010, he was appointed Team Manager of Quality Planning Team in GHQ, and from that time he served the company in different technology and quality related positions, steadily growing in expertise and rank. Since 2020 he is holding the rank of Vice President. He returned to Hungary in January 2024 as Head of Manufacturing Department and he recently took over as Managing Director of our company.
