Our company, as an official partner of the UEFA Europa League, drew 200 tickets to the UEFA Europa League final in Budapest and donated a further 30 tickets to charity to inspire young athletes. It was a great event!
Those lucky colleagues who were to take part in the UEFA Europa League final in Budapest on 31 May had an unforgettable experience, but the league fever did not only catch up with them, but with everyone in the factory, as the past weeks will remain unforgettable for all of us. Especially as our company organized a number of events to mark the occasion. One of the highlights was the exhibition of the trophy for the winner of the league in our factory in Rácalmás, and the visit of Zoltán Gera, 97 times national football team player, to our factory, which you can read more about on page 3 of this issue.
“We were happy to take the opportunity as an official partner of the UEFA Europa League to share the excitement of this exceptional event with our employees and the young talents supported by our company,” said Katalin Roy, Head of Communications of our company.”
She also added that in addition to the 200 employee tickets, Hankook also purchased 30 sponsorship tickets, which were donated to charity. The tickets were given to junior players of Dunaújváros PASE and the Rácalmás Sports Association’s Football Department, giving them the experience of a lifetime.
As she said, some of our colleagues had an additional reason to celebrate, as their children has he opportunity to accompany the referees of the final match as Referee Mascots. “Proud parents could witness their children sharing the pitch with world-class players,” said Katalin Roy.
Those lucky enough to have attended the final, which was decided in the favor of Sevilla on penalties after 1-1 in normal time, will surely remember the adrenaline-fuelled moments of the match and the extraordinary feeling of sharing the euphoric joy of cheering on with 67,000 people, including 200 colleagues.
