It’s often said by business leaders that you can’t achieve great results without the commitment of your employees. That’s why employee satisfaction is of the utmost importance. Leisure activities can be a great source of inspiration for everyone, and this year we are again offering a wide range of events and new activities. Special thanks go to the enthusiastic team at the Legal & Culture Unit, who can always be counted in organization.
From a football tournament to a national competition
In March the Hankook Football Tournament took place. Many teams participated in the competition, making it a really exciting sporting event. The winner was the team of the Lead Soldiers, and on May 12th they represented Hankook in the VIII. Automotive Football Cup, the most prestigious football event of the Hungarian automotive industry. Out of the 69 participants of the tournament in Budapest, our team finished in 5th place, beating teams from Mercedes, Samsung, Bridgestone and Continental, among others. And the players are preparing to take the trophy for the best of the best at the 2025 tournament.
Travel with us to the most beautiful places in Hungary!
Together we can explore the different regions of Hungary in the “Hankook Enjoy Hungary” program, launched this spring. The opportunity has lived up to expectations, with a huge number of applicants. We were pleased to see that it has also resulted in a livelier working life and that colleagues are happy to spend their free time together. In May, the first stop was Pécs. The full-day program included a visit to the historic center of Pécs, Széchenyi Square, lunch at a local restaurant and a tour of the famous TV Tower. We ended the day with perhaps the most anticipated activity of the day, a wine tasting in Villány.
Summer camps for children
We are trying to help our employees with young children in their daily lives also during the summer by organizing children’s camps in collaboration with the Events Centre in Rácalmás. It’s a way for our colleagues to make sure their children have a fun summer break. There will be lots of varied and exciting activities for the participants, who will return home with a good mood, experiences and perhaps new friendships. The camps run from early July to mid-August in several rotations, so everyone can find the time that suits them best.
We are waiting for you at the 3rd Hankook Family Day!
This year’s Hankook Family Day, which has become a tradition, will be held in September, where employees and their families can test their cooking skills, while the varied programs offer recreation and sports for all ages. While the adults compete for various trophies in soccer, basketball, ping pong and darts, children are treated to glitter painting, face painting, hair braiding and bouncy castles. Weather permitting, there will also be a foam party – a big hit with the kids. We will also try to fill the stage between the winners’ prizes with the best cultural and musical programmes.
Strength, health, gym, or the beach body incoming
In addition to the programs, we are also planning to renovate the Hankook House gym this year.This way employees who would like to improve their fitness and physical condition in their free time will soon be able to do so in Hankook House, among more modern, state-of-the-art fitness machines. Can’t wait to see it, isn’t it?
