Frici Turán’s racing car and Becsületesnepper’s (“The Honest Car Dealer”) specialized car, the Toyota AE86 Hachiroku, appeared in a joint video presentation.
With 120,000 subscribers on YouTube, the outspoken Becsületesnepper is a name that will be familiar to most of you. We have been a big hit with “Nepper”–The Honest Car Dealer’s followers with our five-part series on tire advise that we launched last year and concluded this year. Buoyed by this, we’ve now approached him again and he’s been delighted to share our racing tires with the public, alongside Hankook-backed rally champion, Frici Turán.
“Nepper –The Honest Car Dealer” –arrived at the Kakucs Ring shooting with his own pride and joy, a legendary Toyota AE86 Hachiroku, to test his hobby car against Frici’s OE VW Polo R5. But first and foremost, he asked the champion about some interesting facts about the racecar. Frici also gave a thorough introduction to his rally car and the Ventus Z-series tires he uses in competitions, and pointed out that his partnership with Hankook is a big part of the reason why he is able to compete at the top level.
After a brief warm-up, our heroes took the 300 horsepower, 1.6-turbo Polo for a test drive. Our “Nepper”, clinging to the monkey bars, but in full ecstasy, commented on the four-lap test with a grin that would not quit his face. Evaluation, a couple of glances at the burnt tires and our attention was drawn to the „challenger” car.
A truly unique 136 horsepower Hachira makes the owner proud not only of the countless hours of work put into it, but also of the fact that the bonnet is signed by the king of drifting himself, Keiichi Tsuchiya. “Nepper” also revealed that he has already sunk almost the price of a house into this car, which is in its best shape to date with a 6-piston saddle, racing brakes, adjustable suspension and, of course, Hankook Ventus RS3 tyres.
The Japanese car was in excellent condition and Frici was very pleased with its performance, despite the lack of power steering and racing seats. It was funny to see that at the sharp turns the “Nepper” was working hard to keep the car from tipping out of the „right hand”.
At the end of the day, everyone took possession of their favorite car and the joy rides began. “Nepper” was happy to push the Toyota and didn’t even mind that Frici, who had been „driving” behind him for two laps, had left the red Hachiroku standing. At the end of the shoot, we thanked the Honest Car Dealer for his work with us with two sets of Ventus RS4 tyres, which clearly made him very happy.
