There will be no renovation deficit this year as well, or the beauticians are on the move!

Since 2019, General Affairs (GA) has been managing the continuous improvement of the common rest areas and bathrooms. This year, the unit has been busy, and in June they started another major renovation project, which is expected to be completed by November 2023. Let’s see what the builders are up to this year!
What a balance sheet the GA team already has! By the beginning of this year, the ground floor toilets of Mixing phases 1 and 2, the logistics water blocks, half of the shower in the men’s changing room building 1 and the changing rooms were also renewed with the active involvement of the FTT building maintenance staff. But also the separate entrance to the toilets and showers for truck drivers has been completed. As a result of their work, the kitchen in restaurant 1 has got new machines, and the Vulkan in phase 2 and the bead process in phase 1 have also been upgraded with new toilet cabins. The renovation of these rooms was already much needed, as factory 1 and the service buildings were built back in 2006-2007, during phase 1 of the investment, and these are the places most frequently used in the factory area.
This year’s plans include the renovation of almost 260 square meters of toilets and showers, costing tens of millions of forints, including the new look of the unused bathrooms in Mixing, Sealant, Building and Welfare. In connection with the works, Attila Bánhegyesi, General Affairs Unit Manager, said:
“The renovation of the toilets and bathrooms, which started in previous years, will continue. As opposed to previous practice, this year we have not tendered the entire renovation project separately for each room, but in a single tender procedure, and we are also contracting all the works. This has significantly shortened the preparatory administrative and approval process, leaving more time for the planned works. Our next major project will be the aesthetic renovation of the factory’s rest areas, which we are aiming to complete this year.”
So, GA Unit continues to work hard to improve your environment and your comfort. Furthermore, since January, the maintenance and technical operation of the toilets and bathrooms has been continued with the help of an outsourcing company. As a result, processes that used to take weeks have been significantly reduced to 1-2 days.
In parallel with the larger-scale renovation work, the FTT and GA have been working together since the end of last year to upgrade the lighting in the offices, rest rooms and toilets. The project, worth more than 100 million HUF, involves replacing the previous energy-wasting neon and compact luminaires with modern, energy-saving LED panels. Despite the high initial cost of the project, it will pay for itself in less than a year due to high energy prices.
And we ask you to help by taking care of the renovated rooms and after use leaving them in the condition you would like to find them. If everyone uses the rooms and their furniture and fittings appropriately and responsibly, we can preserve their integrity and beauty for a long time to come. Everything is made for you, and we thank you for taking care not only of yourselves and each other, but also of your environment.
