As part of the Hankook Value Creation Program, we launched our Tire Donation Program in 2012 and it has been a great success ever since. This year’s program has again attracted a good number of applications from organizations seeking support, with winners already arriving to the factory to receive their gift tires.
Every year for eleven years, we have launched this charity initiative to support the tireless work of charities across the country by providing them with free tires. In the selection process, we pay particular attention to smaller associations and civil associations, which often find that replacing the worn tires of their vehicles, which cover tens of thousands of kilometers a year, would be a major burden. With our donation we are aiming not only to provide material assistance, but also to contribute to the creation of safe transport conditions.
In the past years, more than 22,000 premium quality Hankook tires have been donated within the framework of the initiative; it has benefited firefighters, ambulance services, helpers of families in need, of patients and elderly people, from around 1,100 organizations, including major organizations such as the National Ambulance Service, the Hungarian Red Cross and the National Directorate General of Disaster Management.
The application for this year’s donation program was open from 22 August to 5 September 2022, once again on hankookadomany.hu, where the ideal tire size could be entered in the application form. A number of regional and national organizations were selected. Some of the winners have already received their sets of tires, but the others will also receive our valuable donation by 11 November at the latest.
