Shared Values, Shared Experiences

In recent times, we have once again seen just how much strength and diversity exists in the community we are building together day by day. There have been many valued programs that simultaneously promoted relaxation, a healthy lifestyle, and social solidarity: sporting events, community initiatives, and outings have enriched everyday life at Hankook. In this roundup, we’ve compiled the most interesting community experiences from the past and coming months. Join us for this recap!

40 square meters of trash bagged

This year, we once again joined the Blue Danube cleanup campaign, in which nearly a hundred Hungarian and foreign colleagues joined forces to create a cleaner environment. Together with volunteers from schools and sports clubs, our employees cleaned up the area around the factory and the Hankook House all the way to the public beach. As a result of this joint effort, we cleared 40 cubic meters of waste from our surroundings. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all participants!

Let’s Get Moving: The Hankook House’s brand-new gym is now open

A long-held wish of ours has come true with the opening of the gym at the Hankook Hotel, which is now available to all eligible employees. Once you’ve picked up the passes required for entry, nothing will stand in your way of indulging in the liberating joys of exercise. In addition, for enthusiastic colleagues who need extra professional guidance, a personal trainer is available – by appointment – on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. We hope the gym will inspire many to adopt a more health-conscious lifestyle.

An Adventure-Filled Summer for Nearly 200 Young Campers

Summer camps for children have been an important part of our community life for years, and this year will be no different. We’re organizing eight different camps so that our colleagues’ children can spend meaningful, adventure-filled weeks together. It’s especially exciting that now even the youngest children, ages 3–6, can join in on the summer adventures. The camps run from late June through mid-August, and nearly 200 children have already signed up, so we can be sure that a fun, exciting, and lively summer awaits our kids.

Goal Celebrations: Success in the Spring, Continued in the Fall

On April 11, the atmosphere at the Hankook Soccer Cup was electric: the tournament was marked by close matches, fierce battles, and spectacular goals. The MIND1SE team advanced from the group stage thanks to a better goal difference, but from there on, they were unstoppable, securing first place in the final against HUKR. The Automotive Soccer Cup, originally scheduled for May, had to be postponed to September due to the weather, so we’ll have to wait a little longer for the national competition, but we’re confident that our team will represent the company with the same momentum and success this fall.

Hankook Enjoy Szekszárd and Karaoke

At the first stop of the Enjoy Hungary series, we explored the beauty of Szekszárd – twice, in fact: on April 18 and May 9. The hike through the Sötétvölgyi park forest was a special experience in itself, but the path leading to the spring and the detour up the mountain offered a real challenge and an extra thrill: the luckier among us even spotted deer in the quiet of the forest. After our nature walk, we were captivated by the atmosphere of the city of Szekszárd and the panoramic view from the lookout tower; to round out the day, the Takler Winery hosted a group wine tasting and a lively karaoke party. The warm, friendly atmosphere made this day truly special.

A Year Full of Experiences Continues

This year still has many moments to share in store for us, but we are especially looking forward to the 5thHankook Family Day on September 5, 2026, for which we are preparing an even richer lineup of activities in the landscaped grounds of the Hankook House. All are welcome, young and old, to celebrate this special occasion together!
