The 1st Újvárosi Festival was a great success

The 1st Újvárosi Festival, in which Hankook was part of the line-up, was a fantastic event with a great atmosphere. Our company awaited the visitors to its booth with gifts, VR glasses and a simulator, and our material development manager Szabolcs Oláh impressed the participants with his perfectly tailored presentation.

Bright sunshine, Danube bank, Szalki island, happy participants. These are the basic requirements for a really good summer festival in Dunaújváros. Add to this the gastronomic promenade, the free university, the concerts of New Level Empire and Quimby, and of course our company, and the formula is complete: the 1st Újvárosi Festival, which offered participants a unique summer programme on 20 August, the day of the founding of the state.

In addition to the traditional, well-established activities (chimney cake, face painting, handicrafts), the organizers also provided other innovative opportunities for those who wanted to relax.

For the supporters, the sponsor village was set up in the area of the Dunaújváros Camping, where they could set up their products, services and communication programs. Hankook prepared with a wheel of fortune with gifts, VR glasses, a simulator and a quiz. The quiz was filled in by a large number of people, which is no surprise, as three sets of tires were drawn from those who answered correctly. It was certainly a win-win for everyone who chose our stand.

The other part of the programme was the free university presentations, during which the sponsors of the event presented their companies, their fields of activity or gave a presentation on a specific topic. Our company was represented by Szabolcs Oláh, Materials Development Manager – “The guarantee of safety in electromobility. Tires for the electric cars of the future” (You can read an interview with him on page 13).

At the same time, the traditional 20 August events took place on Szalki Island: the ecumenical blessing of bread, concerts, bouncy castle, face and henna painting. And those who wanted to try one of the thousands of carousels or handcraft activities could do so, too. The food and drink lovers lined up in the Gastro Square to support the starving stomachs. And who better to close the festival than the Dunaújváros-based band Quimby.

We are proud that both the Hankook stand of the sponsor village and the professional presentation of our colleague were popular with the visitors. We are pleased that many of our colleagues visited us and we have once again shown that the Hankook team is a truly strong team.
