We are looking for the “digital tutor” of the past school year!

There is hardly a person who has not experienced the educational difficulties of the past year through their own child, family member or friend. The transition to digital learning has been no small challenge for schools and teachers, who have tried to do their best to meet the challenge. However, there have been some institutions and teachers who have been able to use new and creative methods to cope better than average with the changed circumstances. We are now looking for them.

Although it was cancelled last year due to the epidemic, the Hankook Education Support Program (HOPP) will be announced again in 2021. The primary goal of this year’s conceptual program is to recognize and support the work of public educators and to promote the highest quality education for future generations. Since the launch of HOPP in 2016, we have contributed nearly HUF 25 million to the development of the winning educational institutions.

This year’s call will be exceptional in several ways, including the fact that it is now open to teachers as well as schools. We are looking for professional methods and ideas that have been tried and tested in practice and that have been successfully used in the 2020-2021 school year, during the digital education period. Hankook will distribute a total of HUF 4 million in four categories, with the best primary and secondary school teachers and their institutions, as well as an audience award for a teacher and their school, being selected by a professional jury.

A further special feature of this year’s program is the professional jury that will judge the entries submitted. This noble task has been entrusted to well-known and respected public figures that have even taken it upon themselves to disseminate the best ideas widely through their public appearance. The judges include József Balatoni, aka „Uncle Jocó”, a writer, history teacher and influencer who is constantly working for children; Attila Dóczi „Attis”, a communications expert, YouTuber and university lecturer; and Dr. Zoltán Szűts, a writer, media and digital pedagogy teacher.

Applications can be submitted from 1 October 2021 to 2 November 2021 by filling in the application form at www.hankookpalyazat.hu and uploading the materials specified in the guidelines for applications. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by e-mail, by 28.02.2022.

If you feel that your child’s teacher or a teacher in your environment has made an exceptional contribution to digital education, please submit a Hankook application! Help her, her school and with it the development of your children and other teachers!
