The planned renovations are ready
We’re pleased to say that General Affairs (GA) Unithas completed the majority of the renovations planned for this year, and by the time you read this, the entire project will be complete. However, their work is far from over, and they already have many plans for 2024! Here’s an overview.

Let’s see what has happened since the start of the renovation: the men’s and women’s toilets in the Building Process in Phase 1 have been handed over , and not only have they been aesthetically renovated, but the entire mechanical system and electrical network have also been upgraded.
A complete renovation of the first floor of the Mixing Phase 2 and the second floor of the Phase 1 bathrooms has also been completed. The same can be said of the Sealant process, where the mechanical and electrical systems have been upgraded and the premiseshave been given a new look.
The second phase of the black and white changing room next to the boiler roomhas also been completed, with all the showers improved. In addition to the tiling, the mechanical systems have been renovated and the new waterproofing has also been installed in order to protect the structure against dampness. The renovation of the showers at the wastewater treatment plant was also a success, and we would like to thank the staff who work there for their cooperation.
At the time of going to press, the partial renovation of the Welfare building was nearing completion. Here, the ground floor men’s shower has been waterproofed, some of the tiling has been replaced and, most importantly, the now damaged floors have been rebuilt.
Another major undertaking this year was the renovation of the restrooms. The project started in the first half of October, with 25 rooms being renovated from floor to ceiling, including replacing old air-conditioning units and equipping the rooms with microwaves, TVs and, in several places, coffee machines. The wallpaper will be uniform, and several areas will soon have kitchen counters and lockable cupboards for convenience.
The contract signed at the beginning of the year for the maintenance and technical servicing of the bathrooms and other minor and major repairs has also proved to be a good decision, as it has significantly reduced the time necessary for repair works from eweeks to a maximum of 24 hours. Even so, please contact GA with confidence if you notice any faults and cannot reach the maintenance staff.
As for the projects for 2024, the plans include the aesthetic renewal of the training rooms in the Welfare bilding, as well as the renovation of the bathrooms of Curing and Building processes in Phase 2 of Factory 1, the excavation of the sewer network and the replacement of the piping, putting an end to the ongoing blockage problems. In addition, GA is also preparing a complete renovation of more than ten other smaller and larger bathrooms.
General Affairs would like to thank you for your patience during the renovation. We hope that the many positive changes will compensate you for any inconvenience caused. As in the past, we ask you to help by taking care of the renovated premises! After use, leave everything as youwould like it to be. We all enjoy a nice, tidy, clean environment. Let’s take care of it!
