In the first part of our new “Who’s Who” column, launched in our previous issue, you were introduced to the roles of three lady colleagues from HR. In this issue, we introduce you to some of the people from General Affairs who you’re likely to meet during your Hankook career. Meet Marcsi, Gábor and Dzseni!

The General Affairs Sr. Expert has a number of tasks at hand, many of which may concern you. For example, if you have any comments about restaurant services, vending machines, water dispensers or your daily sandwiches, you can report them to her and she will be sure to take action to resolve the problem.
Marcsi also coordinates the “Employee Discount Program”. So if you have a suggestion for a service provider, shop or web-shop that offers products and services that are useful for Hankook employees, you should also let her know! If your suggestion can be relevant for all our employees, or if the partner would like to cooperate with Hankook and offer a fair discount, a new item will be added to the list of employee discounts.
Perhaps the biggest project that you can ask Marcsi to help you with is the employer loan. A personal, detailed information session should always be preceded by a telephone consultation to discuss eligibility issues. During the personal consultation, you can find out all the important details from Marcsi and GA’s manager, Attila Bánhegyesi. We have already published a comprehensive briefing on the employer credit in a previous issue. If you would like to refresh your memory, you can read the brochure here:

For anyone who has ever taken advantage of the “Employee Tire Discount”, Gábor’s name is certainly not unfamiliar. He’s the one who gets the requests, who asks for your tires from logistics and who you can collect them from in person during the Thursday distributions. The process is always done electronically: you send your request by e-mail to hankook.ga@hankookn.com, fill in the Google document that you receive in reply and then transfer the amount to the account number provided. Gábor asks everyone to think ahead before making a purchase. There are many of you who schedule your replacement for the beginning of the seasonal change, but the hundreds of requests coming in at once slow down the process. So, for efficiency, it’s a good idea to buy the tires you want a few weeks before you need to replace them.
Gábor is also in charge of the company buses, so you can contact him with any comments you have about the routes. There have been recent changes to the timetable: new stops have been added and those without a designated stop removed, and some have been renamed, based on the names used by “Volán”. The modified timetable is also available on the shared drive and in the files uploaded to the Internal Communication Group on Facebook.
Gabor tells us that some innovations will be introduced on company buses in the first half of 2023 to make your journey even more efficient. You’ll be able to board the buses by swiping your ID card, which will allow GA to measure how many colleagues are using each bus, a very useful data to optimize capacity. GPS tracking will also be used, which is a handy way to check timetable accuracy.

Whether you’re a newcomer and want a locker, or you’re replacing an existing key that’s been lost or left at home, you’ll need to contact Dzseni personally.
If you have any questions about outgoing and incoming mail or parcels, Dzseni is the person. She is the one who handles the sending and receiving of letters and parcels with Hungarian Post, DHL, UPS and FedEx, both domestic and international. When sending mail, always indicate whether you want it sent by regular, priority or registered mail. If you are sending a parcel or letter abroad, you should always consult with Dzseni in advance, as there are a number of administrative criteria to be met with for such items. Always notify your postal needs one day before dispatch to ensure that your parcel reaches the addressee on time. You can pick up your mail and courier service items from 2 p.m. onwards at the CMT office and on the shelf in front of it. By this time the arrival, documentation and sorting will be completed.
You should also contact Dzseni if you have a company phone number or a device, as she is one of the operational contacts between Hankook and the service provider. The closing date of business phone bills is the 19th of each month. If you run out of data by then, you can request a one-time upgrade, but if this happens regularly you should consider switching to a higher data package. It is important to note that changing the data traffic limit does not change the monthly cost limit attached to the positions. At the same time, it is also important to note that you cannot take any action on your own regarding the company numbers, but if you contact Dzseni in time, you will certainly find a solution to your problems. In the event of an overrun, the additional cost will be deducted from your current month’s salary. We have also learned that the tendering process for the next mobile phone contract for a 27-month term has been successfully completed. This is expected to reduce the monthly fee for the mobile fleet by around 20%, while at the same time it will again be possible to upgrade part of the mobile handset stock. You will be able to ask Dzseni about these changes from mid-December.
