The cooperation between Hankook and BMW M GmbH is yet another clear example of how our company is constantly challenging itself. This time, we wanted to meet the very high demands of the German car manufacturer, and as a result, the new BMW X3 M and X4 M models are now rolling off the production line on Hankook’s latest premium tire, the Ventus S1 evo Z.
Frici Turán’s racing car and Becsületesnepper’s (“The Honest Car Dealer”) specialized car, the Toyota AE86 Hachiroku, appeared in a joint video presentation.
Hankook is the official tire partner of the W Series in 2021. This year is a very important year for us, as the Women's Championship will be on track for eight Formula 1 race weekends, this season.
Chosun Tire Company was founded in 1941 which is now present in more than 180 countries. If the name isn't familiar to you, we wouldn't be surprised, as the company was only renamed Hankook in 1953. The giant, which celebrates its 80th anniversary this year, employs around 20,000 people worldwide in its factories, regional and Research & Development centres and has been a major player in the global tire market for decades.
January 2021 is not only the beginning of a new year for Hankook’s Hungarian plant, but also the welcoming of a new Managing Director, Mr. Hyung Yun Kim, to the management. The new Managing Director succeeds Mr. Hwang Seong Hak, who managed the company’s only European plant since 2017 and will take up a new role within the company group this year.
