Together for each other
We organized free health examinations, blood donations and waste collection
How good does it feel to do something for each other? At Hankook, we give the opportunity to do so and promoting health is a priority. Look at all the things we have in store for you!

Did you know that a single blood donation can save up to 3 lives? And have you heard that 380,000 units of blood are needed every year to maintain an adequate blood supply in hospitals in Hungary? In our factory, we offer several blood donation opportunities every year and we are proud to say that, in the last 3 years, 560 people have donated.
The next blood donation is scheduled for 3 September 2024.
Let’s be selfless and help our fellow human beings by donating blood!

Staying healthy is important for everyone; we can help by providing screening tests. That’s why we have joined Hungary’s comprehensive health screening program (MÁESZ), where you can choose from 40 different tests at the country’s largest mobile diagnostic center. Our goal is to expand the list of possible screening tests every year to include additional tests that are difficult for the general population to access, whether due to long waiting lists, financial or other reasons.
Our next Health Day will be held in August and eerybody is welcome to attend. Following last year’s great success, you can register for a routine mole screening this year, and the list of additional screenings will be extended with ultrasound scans of the abdomen, pelvis, neck, soft tissue, thyroid or jugular vein.
Remember, screening can save lives!

A sophisticated and clean environment has a long-term impact on our performance and health. That’s why the EHS Team organized an awareness-raising waste collection on 5 June, World Environment Day, just like last year. Compared to the first time, the turnout was much higher this year, with 91 participants, double the number of last year. At the same time, we were also very pleased to find much less waste in the cleaned-up area – the route between the factory and the hostel. The visual cleanliness feels good, and we hope it will encourage everyone to keep things in order.
