Another year has flown by, perhaps even faster than the last. The pandemic has created many challenges for us in 2021, and unfortunately the fight against the virus will continue in 2022, but I think that thanks to the consistent regulations of the EHS Team and the discipline of our staff here in Rácalmás, we have won many battles.
Nothing shows this better than our production results: we have produced around 15 million tyres by November 2021, and if we can maintain our performance for the rest of the year, we will be able achieve a better-than-planned result this year. For this performance, thanks and recognition go to each and every employee at the Rácalmás plant!
Looking back to 2021, the balance is positive in many ways. This year, we celebrated the 15th anniversary of the foundation of our factory and the 80th anniversary of our parent company, which we celebrated with a small event. Our Tire Donation Program also celebrated its 10th anniversary, as Hankook has been donating tires to organisations working to help different communities. In these 10 years, we have contributed nearly 22,000 tires to help keep safe on the roads those who work for us every day. Our Employee Volunteer Programme continues to run successfully, with our enthusiastic colleagues currently working on 30 projects. And as the third important pillar of our Corporate Social Responsibility Program, the Hankook Education Support Program is a tribute to the teachers who have excelled in adapting to the challenges of online education, which has been introduced several times over the last two years.
I believe that the employees of Hankook Tire Hungary Ltd. have made a significant contribution in 2021 to strengthening further the company’s business position in the automotive market. I thank you all for your work so far and I count on you in 2022! I wish a blessed and peaceful Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you and to your loved ones!
