The Christmas stuffed cabbage is made in different ways in different houses. I would like to show you our version. No Christmas without it, I hope you will like it! 🙂

Ingredients:
- 10 dkg rice
- 1 kg minced pork
- pork chops
- 1 head of onion
- 3 cloves of garlic
- Salt, ground pepper, paprika to taste
- 3-5 bay leaves
- A few grains of whole pepper
- 1 large head of cabbage
- 2 tablespoons concentrated tomatoes
- Oil, flour for frying
Preparation:
To make the stuffing, wash the rice well and add 1 kg minced pork, 1 head of chopped onion and 3 cloves of crushed garlic, season to taste with salt, pepper and ground red paprika.
Remove the leaves from a large head of cabbage and roll the stuffing in them, then grate the remaining cabbage. Pile the cabbage in the bottom of a casserole dish with one or two spoonfuls of the tomato concentrate, a few bay leaves and a few grains of whole pepper. For the perfect flavour, add the washed, smoked ribs. On top of this, add the fillings, and then top the whole thing with just enough water to cover the dish. It can be left out, but you can also cover the top of the casserole with cabbage leaves. Cook the stuffed cabbage over a medium heat for about 70-80 minutes, and when it is ready, make a thin stir-fry. Fry 1 tbsp flour in 1 tbsp oil, add 1 tsp red paprika to it. When you take it off the heat add a little lukewarm water. Add it to the meal, bring to the boil and you’re done. We serve and eat it with sour cream.
