Péter Kertész has been working as an engineer in the EU Development Support Team since 2011. He says, even after a decade of Hankook, he still likes to come through the factory gates every day, as he finds his work challenging and his relationship with his colleagues very good.
A trapezoidal wooden box with two strings and a bow –yet a true work of art. The “Morin Khuur” is Mongolia’s most important folk instrument and, as well as being the country’s national symbol, it is also on UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage list.
He has been working for Hankook for almost 10 years, the last three of which he has been a technician in the EU Development Support Team. Besides his work, the young man from Dunaföldvár also loves the environment, so much so that he is a keen activist, picking up litter, educating children, running camps and building community.

Our factory employs a number of top engineers, but what you may not know is that the Hungarian team is also supported by a number of Korean professionals.
He started working at Hankook more than a decade ago, but at this year’s awards ceremony he was not only honored with a Long Service Award, but once again with the Excellence Award after having received the same award in 2016. The 37 years old young man from Dunaújváros, who works as a senior engineer in the IT team, was modest about the award, but enthusiastic about his work.
