As part of the Hankook Value Creation Program, we launched our Tire Donation Program in 2012 and it has been a great success ever since. This year’s program has again attracted a good number of applications from organizations seeking support, with winners already arriving to the factory to receive their gift tires.
EN-2022-3
Autumn has arrived. I hope that you all have had an enjoyable summer. For many of you, the shutdown has given a chance to relax, recharge your batteries and return to work with renewed vigor.
In the first Hankook Quarter of this year, we reported for the first time about the ongoing renovations since the end of 2021; and the work has been in full swing ever since. More and more areas of the factory are undergoing minor and major ‘facelifts’; and there are still a number of projects planned for 2022.
Even in the life of the factory in Rácalmás, the ten years of “THANKS, Hankook!”, the Employee Volunteer Program, is a long timespan. And, what a 10 years it has been! On the occasion of the anniversary, we made a short film at the location of this year’s biggest project, the Arboretum, on Baracsi Road, in Dunaújváros, but before we report on the events of the filming day, let’s take a short trip back in time!
You have supported another noble cause, as a result of which we managed to collect a carload of donations for the Dunaújváros Foundation for Responsible Pet Ownership in just a few days. This exemplary teamwork showed that selflessness on your part does not stop even when the call for help comes from four-legged friends, instead of our fellow human beings.
Do you like to decorate your home for the season? If so, it’s time to bring out your creative side!
He has been working for Hankook for almost 10 years, the last three of which he has been a technician in the EU Development Support Team. Besides his work, the young man from Dunaföldvár also loves the environment, so much so that he is a keen activist, picking up litter, educating children, running camps and building community.
In the offices, numerous colleagues are working to ensure that the Hungarian factory can run smoothly in every respect. Many of them are people you may need to deal with; so, with our Who’s Who series, we want to help you find out who you can turn to with your various questions on a day-to-day basis. First, let’s find out what three of the female HR colleagues do!
The “Útkereső” Association held its end-of-summer event, the Festival of Games, again this year; and, for the seventh year running, we have been a regular sponsor of the event. The aim of the family day on 23 August was once again to have fun, enjoy the experience and help children in need go to school.
“Hungarians are nice, the country is beautiful, the food is delicious”
Our factory employs a number of top engineers, but what you may not know is that the Hungarian team is also supported by a number of Korean professionals.
